About AGT

What makes AGT clubs so long?... Our Technology!

Mr. Steve Solo, the founder and creator of Advanced Golf Technology, graduated from UC Irvine majoring in computer mathematics and his undergraduate work in physics. He earned a scholarship from his earlier work devoted to designing and building small engines used in the racing industry which paid off by setting 13 various land speed records.

Designing record setting motors led Steve to work with D.A.R.P.A. “the US Department of Defense.” While working on engines, he obtained access to metals not available in the public domain. Through his exposure to these strategic metals came the idea of developing an “advanced” golf club, using these exotic materials. By using his imaginative designs, he created what is now known as the Supernova Fairway Woods. This is the same metal used in strategic areas in jet fighter aircraft and in sensitive areas of nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers.

Steve’s commitment to an “advanced” state of engineering design and manufacturing has resulted in the production of a series of golf clubs that have received World Wide acclaim and accolades. All AGT clubs incorporate 100% American made metals forged in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Through his application and design he has produced clubs that are very hot off the face and has performance characteristics not seen in the golf industry.

USGA Legal Design:

The complete line of Advanced Golf Technology’s golf clubs are designed to meet all USGA ratings and tolerances. AGT clubs are used by professionals and average golfers alike who have lowered their scores, substantially increased distance and improved their accuracy.

Here is what the industry is saying about us…

  • In 2006 Golf Today stated, that the Aurora Driver had an average distance of “18-yards further than any driver they tested"
  • In April of 2006, The Wire, which is an inner industry magazine that revolves around the Golf Industry, bestowed the honor to AGT of achieving the “# 1 ranking in absolute distance” to the Aurora Driver.
  • Golf Digest Magazine, February 2004 rated the Supernova Fairway Woods as the "Best Fairway woods that you have never heard of ...Yet", which was quite a feat. A small company in Southern California took over the top ranking position from a major manufacturer and named #1 in the category of “Best Fairway Woods” on its own merits.
  • In the Canadian Tour of 2004, the Supernova 3-Wood out drove all other “Drivers” in that country. That started Mr. Solo on the path of designing a Driver that would live up to the reputation that he had achieved already with the 3, 5 and 7 Supernova Fairway Woods.
  • In February 2005 Golf Digest rated the Aurora Driver "The best driver you never heard of ...Yet.
  • In May of 2005 Golf Magazine rated the Aurora Driver "A Must Have in the Bag".
  • In 4 different articles in 2005, Pub links magazine reviewed the Supernova Fairway Woods and rated them the "highest rating in the history of that publication", a feat that no other company has achieved to date.
  • Golf Gear Review, which is a site purchasers can rate their equipment that they have acquired has rated the Supernova 3, 5, and 7 Fairway Woods a 5 Star rating. No other company has achieved this rating.
  • In the category of Drivers, The Aurora Driver has received a 4.92 rating, the highest rating for any driver currently manufactured in the World.
